The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed pavement rehabilitation work on WIS 81 from Willow Creek Bridge in Avon to County K in Newark, Rock County.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Newark Town Hall, 9528 W Beloit Newark Road, Beloit. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the pavement along WIS 81 to improve the drive quality. Additionally, the paved shoulders will be widened and shoulder and centerline rumbles strips added. Construction is scheduled for 2029.
