WisDOT holding public involvement meeting for WIS 54 in Portage County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is holding a public involvement meeting to receive input for a proposed project on WIS 54 at the intersection with 110th Street in Portage County.

The meeting is scheduled for April 28, 2026, at 5:30 pm, at the Plover Municipal Center (2400 Post Road, Plover, WI 54467). A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format.

The purpose of the proposed project is to improve the intersection of WIS 54 and 110th Street which has been identified as a site of safety concern. Proposed improvements include:

  • Installation of an acceleration lane along eastbound WIS 54 east of 110th Street.
  • Installation of a Through Route Activated Warning System (TRAWS).
