Repairs to result in lane closures on US 8 bridge over Interstate Park Road

Release date: April 24, 2026

Starting Monday, April 27, traffic on the bridge that carries US 8 over Interstate Park Road in the Polk County city of St. Croix Falls will be reduced to a single lane in each direction as repairs are made to the deck on the west end of the structure. Lanes closures will be continuous through Monday, May 4.

The repairs will be completed in three stages, with crews working on one-third of the bridge during each stage. The first stage involves work on the southern one-third of the bridge.

If work goes as planned, crews plan to complete stage 2 – repairs on the center one-third of the bridge – the week of May 4.

Work is weather dependent.
