License revoked from 101 Walworth County wholesale dealers

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) revoked the wholesale dealer licenses from 101 dealers, based on the following two Walworth County locations operated by Wholesale Dealer License Inc., for failing to properly follow administrative requirements: 

  • 50 wholesale dealer licensees at W1256 W. Lake Shore Dr. 

  • 51 wholesale dealer licensees at 315 Sumner St. 

After an investigation from the DMV Dealer and Agent Section and with the support of local authorities, investigators found that the dealers listed below violated state law when they failed to obtain zoning approval from the local municipality. The initial wholesale applications included forged signatures that falsely indicated approval of zoning by local municipalities. The decision to revoke these licenses was affirmed by hearing examiner decision over a period of several days from March 16 to March 18, 2026. Following a 30-day appeal period, these revocations became final between April 17-19, 2026.

​WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
