Governor Evers approves WIS 32 improvements in Forest County

For release: June 10, 2026

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $2.5 million contract to improve WIS 32, between US 8 and Crandon Railroad Overhead Bridge, in the city of Crandon. Work is scheduled to begin June 15, 2026.

S & N Incorporated is the prime contractor for the project. Work will consist of repaving WIS 32 with new asphalt pavement, new storm sewer and stormwater pond, sidewalk and curb and gutter replacement, guardrail replacement, and new pavement marking.

During construction, WIS 32 will be closed to through traffic and detoured via US 8, US 45, and WIS 32.

Construction is scheduled for completion by late September 2026. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.;
