Project includes installing centerline rumble strips, completing culvert and guardrail work

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $3.35 million contract with prime contractor Monarch Paving Co. of Amery for a resurfacing project on US 10 from the Pepin County line to County A in Mondovi. Construction is scheduled to start Tuesday, June 30.
The pavement on this segment of US 10 is showing signs of deterioration. To address that and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) project is:
- Milling the pavement surface and overlaying the roadway with asphalt
- Installing centerline rumble strips
- Replacing guardrail and flattening slopes at guardrail end terminals
- Cleaning, repairing or replacing culvert pipes
- Cleaning ditches to remove sediment buildup
- Installing new pavement markings
During construction, US 10 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging operations.
Construction is scheduled for completion in late August.
