Ten working day closure begins Monday, September 21

(Sheboygan WI) - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces the WIS 28/WIS 32 roundabout will close for ten working days beginning on Monday, September 21, 2026, in the city of Sheboygan Falls and township of Lima, Sheboygan County. Work will include curb, gutter and truck apron replacement and paving operations. This work is part a bridge replacement and resurfacing project on WIS 28 between WIS 57 in the town of Lyndon and County A in the town of village of Kohler.
Traffic Impacts
The roundabout intersection of WIS 28 and WIS 32 will close beginning on Monday, September 21
- WIS 28 detour will utilize WIS 57, County V, and I-43
- WIS 32 detour will utilize WIS 23, I-43, and County V
- WIS 28 over the Onion River opened to traffic on September 4.
- Flagging operations will continue on WIS 28 between County A and WIS 57. Motorists should expect intermittent traffic delays and alternating traffic while work is underway. Please use caution, follow flagger instructions, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
