Release date: September 23, 2024
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) revoked nine wholesale dealer licenses from nine businesses located in Beaver Dam.
The following dealers, located at 1645 N. Spring St., had their licenses revoked for failing to maintain a licensed business facility:
- Ace Auto Sales LLC
- Jireh Motors Inc.
- Elite Craft LLC
- Don’s Auto Sales LLC
- Dede LLC
Mhass Motors LLC, also at 1645 N. Spring St., had its wholesale dealer license revoked for selling motor vehicles directly to retail customers and falsifying title documents when selling vehicles to customers.
Carma DLR LLC, at 822 Park Ave., had its wholesale dealer license revoked for failing to maintain a license business facility.
Both Master Plan Autos, LLC, 1645 N. Spring St., and C N C’s Autos LLC, N5876 US Highway 12, had their wholesale dealer license revoked for failing to maintain a dealer bond. Wisconsin law requires wholesale dealers to carry a security bond to ensure if they commit illegal actions, such as rolling back an odometer or making an illegal sale, a consumer may file a claim against their bond to recoup money lost. Maintaining a bond is a standard business practice and an added security measure that is meant to protect consumers.
DMV’s Dealer and Agent Section determined that each dealer listed above violated state law. The decision to revoke their licenses was affirmed by a hearing examiner on August 22, 2024. Each dealer had 30 days to appeal the decision. None of the dealers appealed and these revocations became final on September 21, 2024.
WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
