License suspended for Milwaukee motor vehicle dealer

Release date: October 10, 2024

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) suspended the wholesale dealer license for Family Ties Auto Sales LLC, 5816 W. Appleton Ave., Milwaukee, for failing to process titles within seven business days and failing to remit fees collected from customers for title and registration to the department.

The decision to suspend the dealer license was affirmed by a hearing examiner decision on August 22. The dealer’s license was suspended for 14 business days, from September 2-17, 2024, and the company was not allowed to conduct business during this time. Any future violations could result in the loss of the dealership’s motor vehicle dealer license.

WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs.
