Mill, overlay proposed for segment of WIS 64 in the Antigo area in Langlade County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking public comments on a proposed pavement improvement project on WIS 64 from Zima Road west of the city of Antigo east to US 45 in the city, all in Langlade County.

The pavement on this segment of WIS 64 is showing signs of deterioration. To address these, WisDOT is proposing to:
- Remove 3.75 inches of the existing asphalt pavement
- Pave 3.75 inches of new asphalt pavement
- Complete minor shoulder improvements
- Place new pavement markings
During construction, WIS 64 will remain open to through traffic, but motorists will encounter daytime lane closures controlled by flagging operations.
Construction currently is scheduled for 2029.
