This 80-hour course taught by State Patrol Motorcycle Operator Instructors will:

  • Orient class to the terminology, driving skills and liability issues that relate to the operation of a police motorcycle.

This training enhances an officer's ability to operate a police motorcycle in a variety of situations by teaching personal and vehicle control limitations.

  • Certified LESB Law Enforcement Officer
  • Valid Class M Driver's License

Class Only: $725.00

  • Includes only attendance to class
  • No meals or lodging

Commuter: $845.00

  • Includes tuition and noon meals
  • No lodging

Resident: $1625.00

  • Includes tuition, breakfast, lunch, dinner (as applicable), and lodging

*Additional nights lodging and meals can be obtained upon request.

  • Helmet: United States Department of Transportation (DOT) approved motorcycle helmet in good condition and free of defects.
  • Eye Protection- Shatter resistant eye glasses, sun glasses, safety glasses (for day use). Clear eyeglasses, clear safety glasses. (night time or low light use)
  • Gloves: Full finger
  • Long Pants: Blue Jeans or BDU type pants, loose fitting while in the seated position.
  • Lace up boots: Cover above the ankle with good grip soles. (no leather soles)
  • Long Sleeves (shirt or jacket) for higher speed exercises. (optional)
  • Rain Gear for inclement weather.
  • Optional Personal items: sunscreen, bug spray, refillable water bottle.
