Location
US 10, Old Highway 18 Road to County J, Portage County
Project Overview
The existing US 10 Eastbound and Westbound pavement between I-39/US 51 and County J, as well as County J and the associated ramps, is showing signs of cracking along with weathering of the pavement surface.
Proposed improvements include:
- A full depth concrete pavement repair and replacement for the worst areas, and a mill and overlay of the remaining areas
- Replace the asphalt in the Two-Way Left Turn Lane (TWLTL) and shoulders
- Spot repair of inlets and curb and gutter
- Replace or repair culvert pipes as needed
- Replace or repair the concrete median barrier near the County J interchange
- Replace the guardrail approaches to the County J bridge over US 10
Traffic Impacts
During construction, motorists will encounter single-lane closures. Temporary signals may be used. The ramps between US 10 and County J will be closed for nighttime work.
