US 63 (US 12 West to the Polk County line), town of Baldwin to towns of Cylon and Forest - St. Croix County


Locatio​​n

US 63 from US 12 West north of the village of Baldwin to the Polk County line between the towns of Cylon and Forest in St. Croix County.

Overvie​w

The existing pavement on this segment of US 63 is exhibiting signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to:

  • Remove a portion of the existing pavement and overlay the roadway with new asphalt pavement.

  • Widen the paved shoulders.
  • Add rumble strips.
  • Make bridge repairs.
  • Complete culvert work.
  • Clean ditches.
  • Replace guardrail at spot locations.

Sche​​dule

Construction currently is scheduled for 2027, but work could occur as early as 2026 if funding becomes available.

Traffic Im​​pacts

During construction, US 63 will remain open to traffic for most of the work, but motorists will encounter:

  • Single-lane closures
  • A short-term detour during work on a deep culvert.
    • Detour route: County E, County T and County G.
