The Wisconsin State Patrol is structured into three bureaus, each focusing on specific functions to improve public safety. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, traffic and criminal law enforcement; helping motorists in need; inspecting trucks, school buses and ambulances; and helping local law enforcement agencies with natural disasters or civil disturbances.
