Overview
The purpose of the proposed project is to address safety needs at the intersection of WIS 23 at WIS 73/Pye Alley Road.
The intersection was identified as a safety concern based on 2014-2018 crash data showing 9 persons injured in crashes. The proposed improvement includes widening WIS 23 to allow for the addition of left turn lanes to mitigate intersection crashes by improving the ability of motorists to safely make a left turn onto WIS 73 and better understand the intention of opposing traffic as it approaches the intersection.
Traffic Impacts
The road will remain open during construction. Construction will be staged. Flagging operations will be utilized throughout construction.
Real Estate
New right-of-way and temporary easements are proposed for the widening of the road to accommodate the turn lane additions.
