US 141 Resurfacing, Brown County

 US 141 between County MM (Ledgeview) and Continental Drive (Bellevue), Brown County, Wisconsin. PROJECT UPDATE (November 2025):

Project location

WisDOT is improving 2.6 miles of US 141 between County MM (Ledgeview) and Continental Drive (Bellevue), Brown County, Wisconsin.

Project need/purpose

The project is a resurface-level improvement project. The purpose of the project is to extend the roadway’s service life by addressing the deteriorating pavement and drainage structures on US 141 and upgrading other roadway deficiencies. The existing pavement is showing signs of transverse cracking and alligator cracking.

Project improvements

  • Milling 2 ½” of the existing pavement and overlaying with 4” asphaltic pavement on mainline
  • Milling 1 ¾” of the existing pavement and overlaying with 1 ¾” asphaltic pavement through the Allouez Avenue roundabout, County MM/Wall Street intersection, and from Ontario Road/Glenmore Road to approximately 600 feet to the east.
  • Culvert repairs
  • Beam guard replacements
  • Curb ramp upgrades
  • Splitter island and median nose repairs
  • Pavement marking
  • Vision corner clearing was completed over winter 2024/25 at the intersections of Ontario Road, Klondike Road, Allouez Avenue, and Continental Drive within the WisDOT right-of-way to maintain safe railroad crossings

Traffic impacts

Motorists can expect to expect to encounter lane closures and flagging operations during construction operations. During construction at the Allouez roundabout, a three-day closure/detour of the US 141/Allouez Avenue roundabout will occur.
