Location
The Twenty Mile Creek Bridge is located just west of Matts Lane in the Bayfield County town of Grand View.
Overview
The existing culvert is showing signs of deterioration. To address this, the Wisconsin Department is proposing:
- Removing the culvert carrying Twenty Mile Creek under US 63 and replacing it with a single-span bridge.
- Removing a downstream culvert and constructing an open channel.
- Relocating the recreational trail onto the new bridge.
- Reconstructing the roadway approaches on both sides of the new structure.
- Replacing guardrail and pavement markings.
Schedule
Construction currently is scheduled for 2027.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, US 63 will be closed, with traffic detoured via WIS 27 and US 2.
