Location
The project is on WIS 27 at the Sandy Run Creek crossing near the WIS 27/US 2 intersection in the Douglas County town of Brule.
Overview
The culvert carrying Sandy Run Creek under the highway is nearing the end of its service life. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing to:
- Remove the existing culvert
- Replace it with a single-span concrete girder bridge
- Replace approach pavement and guardrail
- Place new pavement markings
Schedule
Construction currently is scheduled for 2026.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, WIS 27 will be closed at the construction site, and through traffic will be detoured via County A and County N.
