Location
The proposed 10.86-mile project on WIS 77 extends from County OO to Hollywood Road in Sawyer County.
Overview
The pavement on this stretch of WIS 77 is showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing:
- Resurfacing the roadway by heating, softening and milling 2 inches of the existing pavement, mixing the millings with a rejuvenating agent and using that to pave the highway
- Lining or cleaning culverts
- Repairing or replacing guardrail
- Replacing pavement markings
Schedule
Construction currently is scheduled for 2032, but work could be advanced to 2030 if funding becomes available.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, WIS 77 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging.
