Location
The proposed 11.94-mile project on WIS 77 begins at the Burnett County line and extends east to County I west of Minong, all in Washburn County.
Overview
The pavement on this stretch of WIS 77 is showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing:
- Milling off a portion of the existing pavement
- Overlaying the roadway with new asphalt pavement
- Replacing guardrail
- Completing minor culvert work
- Replacing pavement markings
Schedule
Construction currently is scheduled for 2030, but work could be advanced to 2029 if funding becomes available.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, WIS 77 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging operation.
