Location
WIS 95 from the Trempealeau/Jackson County line to about 730 feet east of Depot Street in the village of Hixton.
Overview
The existing pavement and culverts are showing signs of deterioration. To extend their lives, this project would:
- Remove 2 inches of existing pavement and then overlay the road surface with 3¼ inches of new asphaltic pavement in the rural sections.
- Remove 3¼ inches of existing pavement and then overlay the road surface with 3¼ inches of new asphaltic pavement in the urban sections.
- Replace some culverts with concrete pipe.
- Clean some culverts and ditches.
- Replace guardrail and upgrade end terminals.
- Replace pavement marking.
Schedule
Construction is scheduled to start in 2024.
Traffic Impacts
- WIS 95 will remain open to traffic.
- There will be single-lane closures controlled by flagging operations during the day for the majority of work.
- Both lanes of WIS 95 will be opened at the end of each day.
