Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing to replace the pavement on approximately 2 miles of WIS 32 in Milwaukee County. The purpose of this project is to provide long-term improvements to the pavement, operation, and safety of the roadway. Proposed improvements include:
- Replace entire pavement structure
- Remove and replace all curb and gutter
- Bike and pedestrian accommodation updates
- Safety and Operational improvements
- Signal replacements
- Lighting updates
Schedule
Construction is anticipated to start in Spring of 2032 but could start as early as Spring of 2031 pending available funding.
Public Involvement
WisDOT will hold an open-house public involvement meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025 at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music (1584 N Prospect Ave.) in Milwaukee from 4 to 6 p.m. for the public to learn more about the proposed improvements, get questions answered, and provide input to the project team. Meeting materials will be posted to the website after the meeting.
