Project Overview
WisDOT is proposing to replace the pavement along 3.27 miles of WIS 11 from WIS 120 to 0.5 Miles East of Lyons Road in Walworth County. The purpose of this project is to provide long-term improvements to the pavement, operation, and safety of the roadway. Proposed improvements include:
- Replace the existing pavement with the new concrete pavement.
- Reconstruct roadside ditches.
- Construct curb and gutter at various locations to minimize right-of-way impact.
- Replace 10 cross culverts.
- Replace six guardrails.
- Replace signs and pavement marking.
Public Involvement
WisDOT will hold a public involvement meeting on Oct. 1, 2025 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Town of Spring Prairie Town Hall (N6097 WI-120, Elkhorn, WI 53121) to share information on the project and collect public input. Meeting materials will be posted to this site after the meeting.
Traffic & Real Estate Impacts
Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained. Traffic control for the project is still being evaluated, with a detour likely. Temporary and permanent real estate needs are anticipated.
Schedule
Construction is currently scheduled for 2030, but could be advanced to 2029 if funding is available.
