W Memorial Drive bridge over the Rock River, City of Janesville - Rock County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the W Memorial Drive bridge over the Rock River to maintain a safe crossing. The rehabilitation is needed to address the deteriorated bridge deck. The existing bridge deck is aged and delaminated. Additionally, the beam guard at the ends of the bridge need to be replaced to meet current safety standards.
Improvements include:
- Replacement of the bridge deck surface
- Updated beam guard
- Updated pavement markings

- 2031 - Construction anticipated

W Memorial Drive will be closed and detoured during construction
