Project location

US 14 and US 51 intersection, City of Janesville - Rock County

Project overview

The existing intersection has traditional overhead signals and left turn lanes. In the 5-year analysis period, majority of the crashes were red-light-running crashes and rear-end crashes.

The project proposes to improve intersection safety by providing one signal head per lane with retroreflective backplates on all four legs and by extending the left turn lanes. Deteriorated concrete pavement in the intersection will be replaced.
