US 151 and County DE/Jackson Road Intersection, Beaver Dam – Dodge County
Project overview
WisDOT has selected a preferred alternative for t a safety improvement at the intersection of US 151 and County DE. There is a history of right-angle crashes at this intersection, and it has qualified for federal Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) funding.
Preferred alternative: Restricted Crossing U-Turn
WisDOT will build a Restricted Crossing U-Turn (RCUT) with offset right-turn lanes at the intersection. The alternative will reduce the number of conflict points from 42 to 12 and simplify decision making. Motorists will still be able to make all turning movements.

Traffic impacts/detours
US 151 will be constructed in stages and remain open to traffic. County DE and Jackson Road will be closed or restricted to right-in and right-out during construction.
