Project location
WIS 106 (Loga Road intersection), Sumner - Jefferson County
Project overview
The purpose of the project is to address the high number of roadway departure crashes and intersection crashes at the intersection of Loga Road and WIS 106. The intersection angle of Loga Road and WIS 106 does not meet current design standards. The existing curve radius is 374' while the minimum design radius is 1330' for a 60-mph design speed. As a result, between 2018 and 2022, there were seven roadway departure crashes.
The proposed work includes reconstructing and straightening out the curve on WIS 106. Loga Road will be re-aligned to create a 90-degree intersection angle. In order to prevent future intersection crashes that may result from the re-alignment of Loga Road, an offset right turn lane will be constructed.
