WIS 11 (Wolf Creek Bridge to County KK), Gratiot - Lafayette County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is developing preliminary plans for a pavement replacement and resurfacing project on WIS 11. The 3.3-mile segment is located between Gratiot and County KK. Proposed improvements include:
- Urban Portion (Gratiot, Wolf Creek to Noble Street)
- Pavement replacement with subgrade improvements
- Storm sewer replacement
- Upgrade curb ramps to meet ADA standards
- Replace 1 box culvert
- Replace beam guard
- May include sidewalk replacement
- Rural Portion (Noble Street to County KK)
- Mill existing asphalt and place new asphalt
- Widen paved shoulders
- Install centerline and shoulder rumble strips
- Repair wing walls on 2 box culverts
- Replace 3 pipe culverts
- Replace beam guard
Schedule
- Winter 2024/2025 - Anticipated Public Involvement Meeting
- 2029 - Anticipated construction
Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 11 will likely remain open to traffic while utilizing flagging operations. A temporary signal may be needed for box culvert replacement in Gratiot. Detours are not anticipated at this time.
