WIS 13 median at US 12 intersection, Wisconsin Dells - Sauk County

Project overview

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is developing preliminary plans for the median opening on WIS 13 located 350-feet west of the US 12 (Wisconsin Dells Parkway) intersection in Wisconsin Dells, in Sauk County. The proposed Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) undertaking will consist of the following:

• Modify the median opening to only allow eastbound left-turns, thus eliminating westbound left-turns at this location.
• Modifications to curb and gutter, concrete pavement, street lighting, storm sewer, and restoration will be included with the project.

• April 17, 2024 - Public Involvement Meeting

• Fall 2027 - Construction anticipated

Traffic impacts/detours

Lane closures and flagging operations are anticipated, along with a temporary closures of the entire median opening at this location.
