WIS 131 (Richland/Vernon County line to WIS 82), La Farge, Vernon County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is to replace deteriorating pavement along WIS 131. Proposed improvements include:
- Two-mile pavement removal and replacement
- Pavement marking and rumble strips
- Guardrail upgrades and culvert replacement
- Curb ramps at Snow Street in La Farge
Schedule
- December 16, 2025 - Public Involvement Meeting
- 2028 - Construction anticipated
Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 131 will be closed to traffic for a portion of the project utilizing WIS 56 and WIS 82. Remaining work will be done under flagging operations, single lane closures and shoulder closures.
