Project overview

The proposed project is two projects tied together. The purpose of this project is to address the pavement condition along WIS 191 and extend the pavement service life along WIS 39. The subgrade on WIS 191 is showing signs of failure with many areas of alligator cracking in the pavement surface. Curb and gutter and sidewalk on WIS 191 are sunken and need to be addressed. The existing pavement surface on WIS 39 is showing signs of distress with longitudinal, transverse and block cracking. Curb ramps along both WIS 191 and WIS 39 are missing or do not meet current Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards.

WIS 191 bridge over the Dodge Branch needs deck and guardrail repairs as well as rip-rap added along the abutments.

Improvements include:

Pavement replacement along WIS 191
Pavement resurfacing along WIS 39
Bridge repairs and updated guardrail on WIS 191 bridge over the Dodge Branch
Updated curb and gutter along WIS 191
Updated curb ramps to meet ADA standards along WIS 191 and WIS 39

Traffic impacts/detours

WIS 191 will be closed to through traffic during construction utilizing WIS 191, WIS 23, US 151, BUS 151 and WIS 39.

WIS 39 will remain open under flagging operations for the duration of construction.
