WIS 49 (I-41 to Center Drive), Brownsville - Dodge County
Project overview
Reasons for Project:
The roadway is aged and deteriorated with cracking. Replacing the pavement will improve ride quality.
Improvements Include:
- Replace the pavement
- Widen the paved shoulder between Center Drive and WIS 175
- Install rumble strips on the paved shoulder between Center Drive and WIS 175
- Replace the curb and gutter at Center Drive and STH 175
- Replace a culvert on WIS 49 next to the railroad tracks
- Replace the side road culverts on Center Drive and Pole Road
- Replace the flashing beacons at WIS 175
Schedule
- 2029 - Construction anticipated
Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 49 will be closed and detoured for the duration of construction. The detour will utilize US 151 and I-41.
