WIS 71 (County U to County V), Norwalk to Kendall - Monroe County
Project overview
This project limits are from County U to County V. The purpose of this project is to preserve and improve the existing highway pavement for WIS 71.
Improvements include:
- Rural sections from County U to W Junction of WIS 131 and Kickapoo River to County V
- Resurface the existing asphalt pavement (mill and overlay)
- Bridge maintenance
- Replace culvert pipes
- Urban section in the Village of Wilton of W Junction of WIS 131 to Kickapoo River
- Repalce the pavement between the existing curb and gutter
- Sanitary sewer and water utility improvements
- Spot replacements of curb and gutter and sidewalk
- Replace curb ramps that do not meet current standards
Schedule
- December 2027 - Design complete
- 2028 - Construction anticipated
Traffic impacts/detours
Traffic will be detoured to complete the pavement replacement and culvert replacements. Flagging operations will be used to complete the remaining work. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained.
