WIS 54 Resurfacing and Culvert Replacements

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is in the process of developing highway improvements on WIS 54 in Outagamie County. The purpose of this website is to update construction plans in the project limits and get your input on the identified needs and proposed improvements. We encourage you to take a moment to review the project information and provide comments.

“In This Together” program for businesses

WisDOT recognizes businesses located in work zones have special needs. It’s critical that customers have access to businesses and that they continue to visit them, regardless of any road work inconvenience. WisDOT's In This Together program is offered to business and community leaders as an idea source as they plan for road construction in their area. It includes:

  • Specially designed guide for businesses with information on:
    • Planning ahead for construction
    • Staying informed
    • Keeping customers informed
    • Tips for businesses
  • Case studies that demonstrate successful business outreach
  • Promotional examples of how businesses have promoted their businesses during construction.
  • Go to WisDOT's In This Together website

Temporary Business Signing

During construction, temporary signing for business will be available for businesses within the detoured portion of the highway. While signing and other marketing/advertising during the construction is up to the business, WisDOT encourages businesses to use the resources above to assist them with planning for construction before the construction begins. Information on temporary business signing can be found in the Guide for Businesses.
