Right of way plats
Plats are documents used to acquire land needed to construct and maintain the Wisconsin state highway network. They are typically made during the highway design improvement process. Creation and ongoing inventory of plats are a joint effort among WisDOT’s technical services, real estate and project development sections. The information below details WisDOT policy and procedures related to plats.
Right of way plats are prepared in accordance with
Wisconsin Statute 84.095 and standards contained in the WisDOT
Facilities Development Manual (FDM).
