Honor Guard Unit

Two State Patrol Honor Guard Unit officers facing one another in front of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement MemorialThe Wisconsin State Patrol Honor Guard Unit serves as a tribute to sworn personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice and on other occasions represents the solemn commitment made by all responders. The Honor Guard Unit also pays tribute to deceased active and retired personnel.

The Honor Guard Unit is an elite team consisting of sworn members, all having received extensive training in marching, team movement, casket movement, flag folding and rifle drills. 

Members of the Honor Guard Unit:

  • Maintain a high degree of professional demeanor, physical fitness, impeccable uniform standards and embody the ideals of integrity, service and pride
  • Provide rifle bearers, pallbearers and ceremonial presentation of national, state and Wisconsin State Patrol colors
  • Participate in parades, as well as local, state and national police memorial services and other special events
