License suspended for Milwaukee motor vehicle dealer

Release date: March 10, 2023

The state of Wisconsin suspended the motor vehicle dealer license for EZ Credit Car Corp., located at 5540 W Lisbon Ave, Milwaukee, for failing to properly follow administrative requirements. The order, issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), determined that EZ Credit Car violated state law when they deliberately falsified location information on motor vehicle title and registration application forms to avoid emissions testing and wheel tax fees.

The decision to suspend the license was upheld by a WisDOT hearing on February 7, 2023. Dealers are given 30 days to appeal the suspension to the state Division of Hearing and Appeals. EZ Credit Car did not appeal and the decision is final. The dealer’s license is suspended for five business days, from March 11, 2023 through March 16, 2023 and they are not allowed to conduct business during this time.

WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
