Governor Evers approves WIS 158 resurfacing project in Kenosha County

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers has approved a $2.3 million roadway resurfacing project along WIS 158 (52nd Street), between the I-94/41 Frontage Road and County H (88th Avenue) in Kenosha County. Payne and Dolan is the prime contractor for the project. Work is scheduled to begin April 14.

Improvements include:

  • Resurface WIS 158 (52nd Street) within project limits
  • Upgrade signal equipment at multiple intersections
  • Replace culvert across WIS 158 (52nd Street)
  • New pavement markings and signing

Traffic Impacts and Detour:

WIS 158 (52nd Street) will be closed to through traffic between the I-94/41 Frontage Road and County H (88th Avenue) during construction. Local and emergency access will be maintained.

A detour will be posted utilizing WIS 31 (Green Bay Road), WIS 50 (75th Street), and I-94/41.

This project is scheduled for completion in late summer 2025. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
