Beginning Monday, May 12, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will resume work along WIS 20 (North Street), between Sterling Circle and County ES (Main Street) in the village of East Troy, Walworth County.
Work to be completed:
- Remove the remaining pavement along WIS 20 (North Street) near the railroad tracks and place aggregates.
- Improvements to curb and gutter, and sidewalk
- Asphalt paving, pavement marking, and restoration.
East Troy Electric Railroad will also be replacing their crossing at WIS 20 (North Street) during this project.
Traffic impacts:
WIS 20 (North Street) will be closed to through traffic between Sterling Circle and County ES (Main Street). Local access will be maintained. The posted detour will utilize I-43 and US 12. All ramps to/from WIS 20 and I-43 will remain open.
Construction on this project began in July 2023 and is scheduled for completion in summer 2025. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Payne and Dolan is the prime contractor for the $12.9 million project.
