Segment of WIS 64 in Dunn County to be closed

Culvert and bridge work spurring closure; access to be maintained for local traffic

Release date: May 9, 2024

WIS 64 from County O north of Boyceville east to the north junction of County W in Dunn County will close to through traffic Monday, May 13 because of culvert and bridge work that is part of a highway improvement project.

During construction, access will be maintained to local businesses and residences in the work zone. However, several hard closures are part of the project.

  • Beginning Monday, crews will begin removing a culvert east of north WIS 25, and that segment of WIS 64 is expected to be closed until July 1.
  • Crews are expected to begin removing a culvert about 800 feet west of south WIS 25 later in the week of May 13. That site will likely reopen to traffic the following week.
  • Rehabilitation work on the Hay River Bridge west of south WIS 25 is expected to begin June 3, with completion anticipated by July 29.

Once work at these locations is complete, they'll be reopened to local traffic.

Through traffic is being detoured via WIS 79, WIS 170, WIS 40 and US 53.

Construction on the overall project is scheduled for completion in late August.
