Governor Evers approves US 8 improvements in Price, Lincoln and Oneida

June 7, 2023

To invest in Wisconsin's transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $8.5 contract to improve US 8 between Prentice and Bradley. Work is scheduled to begin June 12, 2023.

American Asphalt of Wisconsin is the prime contractor for the project. Work will include replacing asphalt pavement, replacement of 15 culvert pipes, replacement of curb and gutter at 13 intersections and replacement of guard rail.  In addition, three box culverts will be extended. Crews will remove roadway crossing the railroad on Tripoli Drive.  Tripoli Drive will be closed and a cul-de-sac will be constructed. Tripoli Drive will no longer intersect US 8.

During construction, US 8 will be open to traffic with flagging and lane shifts. One lane of traffic with traffic signals will be encountered at two large culvert replacements in Price County.

Construction is scheduled for completion in November 2023. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
