Release Date: October 15, 2021

(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces completion of construction on the I-43 rehabilitation project in Brown County. The $6.3 million project began in July 2020.

The project included shoulder improvements, bridge deck milling with concrete overlays, bridge painting, culvert, and bridge wingwall repairs and pavement markings on various bridges, ramps and overpasses on the seven mile stretch of I-43 between WIS 172 and the Leo Frigo Bridge in Green Bay.

The improvements extend the useful life of the structures, reduce future maintenance costs, provide smoother ride for motorists, and accommodate current and future traffic demands.
