The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss a design project on WIS 131 from the Richland/Vernon County line to WIS 82 in Vernon County.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at La Farge Community Center, 202 N State Street, La Farge. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
Proposed improvements along WIS 131 include a two-mile pavement removal and replacement, pavement markings, rumble strips, updated guardrail culvert replacements and curb ramps at Snow Street in La Farge. Construction is scheduled for 2028.
