​Carrie Cox
Office of General Counsel (OGC)

Carrie Cox is the Chief Legal Counsel and the Director of the Office of General Counsel (OGC). The OGC acts as legal counsel for WisDOT and works closely with WisDOT leadership to provide guidance on a wide variety of legal issues.

Carrie has been at WisDOT since 2011. As a project attorney, she worked on several large, complex projects including the Zoo Interchange, I-39/90 and a WIS12/18 (Beltline) study. Prior to joining OGC, Carrie was the Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs for Charter Communications and an attorney in private practice with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., Milwaukee. Carrie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from UW-Milwaukee and a juris doctor from Marquette University Law School. Bob Reed
Office of Inspector General (OIG)

Bob Reed is the Inspector General and director of the Office of Inspector General. He has worked at WisDOT since 2013, most recently as a supervisor in the Local Programs and Finance section within the Division of Transportation Investment Management. Prior to his time at WisDOT, Bob worked at the Legislative Audit Bureau, conducting evaluations of a variety of state programs. Bob graduated with a bachelor's degree in legal studies and psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a juris doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School. John DesRivieres
Office of Public Affairs (OPA)

J​ohn DesRivieres is the Communications Director for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). He brings nearly 20 years of strategic communications and professional media experience to the Office of ​Public Affairs (OPA). That experience includes three years as the WisDOT social media director. John was accountable for growing the agency’s reach on more than a dozen statewide, division and regional social media sites. He also played a key role in brand development, video production and graphic design while producing and hosting the agency’s podcast. Prior to joining WisDOT, John worked in broadcast news for more than 15 years in a variety of management, on-air and behind the camera roles across three media markets.
