Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) - Local Programs

Signed on November 15, 2021, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) updates federal law and potential federal funding levels across federally funded Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Local Programs. It is expected that new federal funds will be distributed over the ​next five fiscal years, beginning in the current Federal Fiscal Year 2022 (FFY 2022).

FFY 2022 BIL Program Solicitation

Application Materials and eligibility guidelines are available on the FFY 2022 BIL Program Solicitation webpage​.

WisDOT is soliciting construction-only projects for:

  • Surface Transportation Program (STP)
  • Local Bridge Improvement Assistance Program​

Projects should be ready and eligible to leverage FFY 2022 funding. Construction projects must obligate funds by September 30, 2022.​
