Location
US 45, WIS 29 in Wittenberg to the Langlade County line
Overview
The project includes resurfacing the roadway within the project limits. The intersection of US 45 and Shawano County N on the south side of Birnamwood will be reconfigured to allow for the installation of left turn lanes onto County N. Several culverts will be replaced or lined as needed. Additional improvements include curb and gutter repair and guardrail replacement.
Traffic Impacts
During resurfacing, motorists will encounter flagging operations, single lane closures, and lane shifts as needed during culvert replacements. Motorists will encounter staged traffic control with temporary widening at the County N intersection.
Real Estate
Some real estate will be acquired for the anticipated culvert work and US 45/County N intersection reconfiguration.
