Proposed work includes making spot repairs to driving lanes of segments of WIS 35/64, WIS 64, resurfacing shoulders, installing new pavement markings and rumble strips

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking public input on a proposed improvement project on WIS 35/64 from 150th Avenue to County C and WIS 64 from WIS 35 to 142nd Street in St. Croix County.

The existing pavement on these segments are showing signs of deterioration. To address this, WisDOT is proposing:
- Performing spot repairs on the driving lanes where deterioration exists.
- Overlaying existing concrete with asphalt at select locations in both directions of travel.
- Resurfacing the existing shoulders.
- Replacing guardrail at structures.
- Installing new pavement marking and shoulder rumble strips.
- Replacing some signage.
- Cleaning or riprapping culvert end walls.
Construction will be staged to allow for a single lane of traffic in both directions to remain open at all times, but temporary ramp closures will be necessary to complete the work.
Construction currently is scheduled for 2026.
