Construction notes address changes in department policy or specifications not included in the contract. They offer optional fixes to known problems. Solutions provided are usually endorsed by both the department and industry. Construction notes are released when an issue warrants a rapid response.
Each note provides background, a problem statement, and a solution to the issue, typically in the form of contract change order language. No-cost solutions are preferred, but some situations will require cost negotiations.
