Project need
The purpose of the project is to replace two metal culverts pipes on US 45 that are displaying significant rusting and deterioration. The project will consist of removing the pipes and replacing them with two concrete box culverts.
Location
US 45 between Triple S Road and County Road B in the towns of Osceola and Eden in Fond du Lac County. One culvert is located .13 miles south of County B and the other culvert is located County Road F.

- The existing culvert crossing consists of two corrugated metal pipe culverts both approximately 80 feet long and approximately 300 feet of beamguard. The proposed project will replace the two deteriorating corrugated metal pipes with one box culvert and replace the existing beamguard.

Culvert Crossing 0.13 miles south of County B
- The existing culvert crossing consists of one corrugated metal pipe culvert approximately 95 feet long and approximately 1,300 feet of beamguard. The proposed project will replace the deteriorating corrugated metal pipe with a new box culvert and replace the existing beamguard.

Proposed schedule
The project is anticipated to start construction in summer of 2023 and will be completed in 2023.
Traffic impacts
US 45 will be closed and detoured during construction. The detour route will follow County V and WIS 67.
Right of way needs
Right of way acquisitions in the form of temporary limited easements are anticipated as part of this project. A real estate agent will contact you if your property is affected.
