WIS 167 Bridge and Improvements (WIS 175 to I-41) - Washington County

Overview

The proposed projects would rehabilitate the WIS 167 (Holy Hill Road) bridge over I-41 in Washington County and improve the operations on WIS 167 from WIS 175 (Appleton Avenue) to I-41.

Proposed Improvements

  • Deck repair on WIS 167 bridge over I-41
  • Remove existing bridge median and replace it with bridge deck
  • Concrete deck overlay.
  • Expansion joint replacement
  • Bearing replacement
  • Abutment and wing​wall repairs
  • Girder painting
  • Slope paving repair
  • New signals at ramp terminals and relocation of signals at Richfield Parkway
  • Pavement rehabilitation
  • Storm Sewer and drainage upgrades
  • Operational improvements include:
    • Adding left turn lane across the bridge
    • Adding outer lane and shoulder improvements

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control during construction has not yet been determined. Efforts will be made to minimize traffic impacts, including congestion, delays, and queuing. Accommodations for pedestrians and bicyclists will be provided.

Public Involvement

Outreach is ongoing and project information is being shared in a mailer and public involvement meetings. As materials and exhibits become available, they will be posted below to help give opportunity for public feedback. As the project continues to move forward, your input is welcomed and appreciated throughout the design process.

Schedule

Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2028.
